‘Community Safety Patrols’

On 5/11/18, as reported on channel fours news, Masjid E Umar (GMWA) alongside Al Mustafa Centre, Al Hikam and local police carried out safety patrols on the streets of Girlington.  Over the years, there has been a lot of anti social behaviour - the shooting fireworks in homes, pubs and on roads; causing accidents and injuries. This year the local community along with the fire and police force have been working together to eradicate this nuisance from our communities.  Patrols have been taking place all weekend and Alhamdolillah  all members of the community have responded well to the initiative. May Allah safeguard us all.

A final goodnight and a huge thank you from West NPT.

The improvements made since last year are striking. The way that everyone came together from across the community was inspirational and an example to others. I hope we can continue to build on this excellent work going forward.

Thanks for the support and hard work of all those involved.

Keep safe!
